Abstract
Animal models allowing more sensitive and early detection of tumorigenesis and metastasis are instrumental in the fight for developing effective therapies against aggressive forms of cancer. In the present chapter, the advantages and limitations of the bioluminescent imaging (BLI) approach are discussed.
