Abstract
Type 1 diabetes is the most commonly seen endocrinopathy in pediatrics. This is an autoimmune condition. Children with type 1 diabetes are at much greater risk for other autoimmune conditions, particularly autoimmune thyroiditis, most commonly Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and celiac disease.
