Abstract
In this issue of Australasian Journal on Ageing, Shu et al. [1] report on a cross-sectional study of older men, some of whom were carers. Older male carers reported higher levels of anxiety, but not higher levels of depression, than older men who were not carers. This work is valuable because older male carers have rarely been the focus of study and most published work in this field highlights depression rather than anxiety.
