It is characterized by \naspecific clinical presentation, causing a diagnostic problem. The diagnosis is based on a combination of imaging techniques as well as histological examination.</p><p><strong>Case presentation: </strong>We are presenting a case of a patient with thyroid basi-lingual treated surgically.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>The low incidence of ectopic lingual thyroid , and their clinical variability requires radiological and isotopic investigations.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The diagnosis of this disease is primarily histological. Abstract
