Executive nurses have an important leadership role in challenging heterocisnormative care practices in healthcare environments that affect the well-being of older adults who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning and others (LGBTQ+). Abstract
Over the past four decades, the number of people aged over 60 years has increased worldwide, and within this population there has been a proportional increase in people with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
