Both the liver and spleen were tested by reverse transcription real time qPCR confirming high levels of RHDV2 RNA. Histopathology confirmed multifocal necrotising hepatitis.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The Irish hare is susceptible to RHDV2 infection.
