Abstract
Welcome to the Journal of Biocommunication, the professional journal of the Association of Medical Illustrators and the BioCommunications Association. This JBC, issue 46-1, represents our first issue of the 2022 publishing year. I would like to thank our Management Board, our editors, our advisors, and our authors for their contributions to our success.
This issue features some diverse content, including Thomas St. John Merrill's column, "25 Years Ago in the JBPA/JBP." We also include Emilyn Frohn's Vesalius Trust Research Poster, "Transforming Confocal Microscopy Imaging Data of Retinal Vasculature into 3D Animation." The JBC continues its series of legacy articles authored by the late Dr. Richard Byrne. We include his articles, "Computershock," "The New Work," "Business as Usual," and "Learning to Learn."
Our JBC 46-1 Showcase features the amazing photographic imagery of BCA Emeritus Member, Bob Turner. Our JBC Gallery includes the award winners of BCA's 2021 BioImages exhibition.
We appreciate the ongoing support from our JBC community around the world. In particular, we acknowledge the support of the Association of Medical Illustrators and the BioCommunications Association. It's a privilege to be the professional academic journal of these two organizations.
