Fusion-based speech emotion classification using two-stage feature selection

Then, two-stage feature selection using random forest and grey wolf optimization is applied to reduce feature dimension and model training time and improve the classification performance. In addition, both early and late fusion strategies are explored aiming to further improve the performance. Experimental results indicate that early fusion with two-stage feature selection can achieve the best performance. Abstract

Speech emotion recognition plays an important role in human–computer interaction, which uses speech signals to determine the emotional state.
