Reflections on the 2021 VASTA Conference

Abstract

This article continues the tradition of publishing an annual conference “plenary” article. The Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), this journal’s sponsoring organization, met digitally July 3 through August 1 2021, for its 34th annual conference, “Rising Voices: Listening to the Past, Dismantling the Present, Cultivating a New Future.” The following reflections seek to capture some of the intellectual spark and community spirit of the conference and share them with those members unable to attend.
