El recorrido de una elite regional. Catamarca entre la revolución, la república y la independencia (1814 y 1821)

espanolEl presente articulo propone analizar la dinamica politica de la elite de Catamarca, ciudad subalterna dentro de la Gobernacion Tucuman, considerando dos momentos fundamentales en el proceso de su construccion politica. El primero, el de su insercion en la nueva gobernacion de Tucuman creada 1814. El segundo, el de su inclusion en la ‘Republica’ de Tucuman hasta su separacion e independencia. Considerando una clave analitica regional, entendemos que los cambios politicos habidos en Catamarca hallaron en el cabildo su escenario y cauce y en la elite colonial a los ejecutores del cambio. EnglishThe present article intends to analyze the political dynamics of Catamarca´s elite, secondary city in the Governorate of Tucuman, considering two fundamental moments in the process of its political construction. The first one, its insertion in the new governorate of Tucuman created in 1814. The second, its inclusion in the ‘Republic’ of Tucuman until its separation and independence. Considering a regional and analytic perspective, we understand that the political changes that occurred in Catamarca found in the local cabildo the scenery and path, and in the colonial elite the executant of the change.
