Abstract

Vitamin D deficiency is a growing problem worldwide; it is associated with a variety of disease3,4. Vitamin D receptor is present in most tissues and cells of the body. Vitamin D deficiency could lead to complications, such as low bone mineral density, osteopenia and osteoporosis, cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases, and increased cancer risk1,4,5.
