Abstract

Our study examined a novel composite material for marine applications. The matrix for the composite was aluminium alloy 7075 (Al7075), the properties of which include good durability, specific strength, and hardness. We investigated the mechanical properties and behaviour of the alloy matrix when combined with borosilicate powder as reinforcement. The composite was prepared by stir casting the Al7075 with specific weight percentages of nano-borosilicate.
