The development of other types of spectrophotometers that involve students in building them can be a potential research alternative in Chemistry and other STEM areas. Abstract

This study aims to provide a bibliometric analysis on the topic of the simple spectrophotometer. By using the VOSviewer software, bibliometric analysis methods from 128 articles were used in this study. The articles were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria predefined. The results of this study indicate that several simple spectrophotometer instruments have been used for teaching and learning in chemistry and other STEM areas, such as UV-Vis and photometers.
