The publication and study of these documents rewrites the history of this region in the early Islamic era. Among the topics recorded on these documents are sales contracts, revealing one important practical application of the Islamic law. This article aims to publish and discuss a warehouse makhzan and a portico usṭuwān sale contract, currently preserved at the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo and dated 371 AH / 981 AD.
