Abstract
This opinion answers the question “Do Stereotypic Behaviors in Autism Warrant Intervention?†This author recently had an article published that examined the effects of a particular intervention on stereotypic behaviors in individuals with autism. Immediately after publication, this author was asked if stereotypic behaviors were detrimental enough to warrant intervention.
