For the time being, despite some critiques raised above, this work on the architecture and architectural ornament of the Maltese Islands offers a dataset that will be of use to anyone working on these topics across the ancient Mediterranean. This is an important step towards a better understanding of Malta’s cultural heritage, and one must be thankful to the author and publisher for making these materials available to the scientific and larger community.
