Abstract

The lysine succinylation, evolutionarily conserved portant regulatory role in physiology of both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. Large succinyl groups conjugated to lysine residues resulted in changes in structure and charge of the proteins and affected the function of these proteins. However, little information was available about the lysine succinylation in the Eucommia ulmoides, an important traditional Chinese herb with multiple active substances.
