Typifications, newly characterized descriptions and illustrations are presented for Syzygium korthalsii Widodo, S. confusum (Blume) Bakh.f., S. blumei (Steudel) Merr. & L.M.Perry, S. insigne (Blume) Merr. & L.M.Perry. The new species Syzygium sipirokense Widodo & Veldkamp is described.
