Congratulations to Professor Michelle Baybutt

Abstract

Michelle is co-Director of the Healthy and Sustainable Settings Unit (HSSU) in the Faculty of Health and Care at the University of Central Lancashire, England, where she takes a lead for prisons. Michelle’s work focuses on developing prisons as a setting for fostering health and wellbeing with a practice-focus on the implementation of sustainable public health interventions. One example of this is a trailblazing prison-based therapeutic horticulture programme, Greener on the Outside for Prisons, that takes a whole prison (settings-based) approach to improve the health and wellbeing of people in prison.
