Abstract

Summary: Aloe maculata All. (Asphodelaceae subfam. Alooideae) is reported for the first time as naturalised in Algeria. This also represents the first record of this species for continental North Africa. Aloe maculata was found to have escaped from cultivation in the Skikda region in northeastern Algeria where this species has become established in three locations.
