Abstract

Resources differentiate organizations along the lines of competitiveness and survival as it gives an edge over another. The well-researched resource-based view of the firm contends that organizations with unique resources always maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in the competitive dynamics of the industry. Culled from the resource-based view which considers resources in general, the human resources-based view focuses on the nature, the dynamics and the cluster of resources that define the human resources understood from different components.
