La cuestión de la desigualdad y los estudios de estructura social en las últimas dos décadas del siglo XXI: una reflexión posible con énfasis en América Latina

Abstract

This article proposes a theoretical reflection on the treatment of inequality at present, considering, in particular, the contributions of this concept in the analysis of social structure. Although the reflection arises from readings essentially located in Latin America, the question far exceeds it as a territorial axis, and it places the issue as one of the most current ones in social studies. It is an eminently theoretical reflection built from the re-reading of classic and current texts intentionally selected for analysis. From this, the current relevance of the various perspectives on inequality, its dimensions and its ways of being linked can be deduced for the analysis of the social structure.
