However, the diversity of butterfly species in Indonesia is under threat of extinction. In the area of the Palangkaraya University (UPR) forest area has experienced quite extensive forest fires so that it directly impacts the habitat of butterflies and the pollution caused by smoke. The research objective was to identify the types of butterflies in Palangkaraya University on land after burning and land which had not been burned. The research method uses field observation methods with net sweeping and roaming techniques.
