Abstract
Abstract:This article explores uncertainty in Claudian's late Antique Latin epic, the De Raptu Proserpinae. It first focuses upon the areas of artistic provisionality, rhetorical inconsistency, and indeterminacy, and then compares and contrasts Claudian's political poetry.
