Motivaciones Para La Práctica De Artes Marciales En Wushu

Abstract

Objective: The article shows the results of the inquiry process carried out at the Wushu TAO QUAN LU School, around the motivations and decision-making of the students who 1 Licenciado en Educación Física, Especialista en ejercicio físico para la salud, Director Escuela Tao Quan Lu nanchuan2010@gmail.com support the reasons for remaining in the practice of martial arts in Wushu. Being a nonformal education process, intrinsic motivation, will and autonomy become fundamental factors for the mentioned practice. Methodology: The research is ascribed to the descriptive qualitative model, the data was collected based on three main instruments: The information recorded in the practitioner's registration forms, the participant and continuous observation in the training processes developed and personal interviews with the practitioners. Results: Even when the motivations for admission respond to different purposes, actors and conditions, permanence is based on aspects of the classroom climate (communication, friendship and respect, among others), quality of the teacher, clarity of the curriculum and, fundamentally, in the autonomy of the student, mainly regarding the freedom to decide on its practice and permanence.
