Abstract
at the end of January 2011, a few days before the fall of Husni Mubarak’s rule in egypt, but when it was already clear that his fate was decided and that his days were numbered, syrian President Bashar al-assad gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal in which he spoke for the first time about the fateful events in tunisia and egypt.
