Further studies on this subject are required.\n\n\nOriginality/value\nNew business models are likely to provide new opportunities to better address customer needs, generating differentiating itself from its competitors. Abstract

Purpose This paper aims to analyze the business model innovation in medium and large Brazilian manufacturing companies located in Rio do Sul State.
