Sztuka i socjologia na przykładzie filmów Małgorzaty Szumowskiej

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to indicate links between film and sociology, as exemplified by Malgorzata Szumowska’s films. Another important context is the combination of the empowerment approach – its application in social work in the context of art therapy – with solving social problems and enhancing the quality of life of beneficiaries receiving this aid. Suggested considerations are to indicate the usefulness of film therapy, especially for social and educational practice. The methodology used is comparative research and the gains of emancipatory pedagogy.
