Abstract
Intestinal injuries due to blunt or closed abdominal trauma are less frequent; however, they represent the third most injured frecuent organ for this cause. Early diagnosis of intestinal injure is difficult and any delay is associated with high morbidity and mortality. The complementary study for its diagnosis in a stable patient is tomography. We present a case of a 56 years old woman who attended goes to the Emergency Service for a history of motor vehicle accident. Based on predictive criteria for intestinal and mesenteric lesions, emergency surgery was indicated, getting an early diagnosis and treatment of intestinal lesion in blunt trauma by laparoscopy.
