Abstract

Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a complex condition predisposes the population to an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). It is characterized by at least three risk factors: elevated blood pressure, triglycerides, glycemia, waist circumference, and reduced levels of HDL-C.
