Abstract
Abstract The genus Lederina Nikitsky & Belov, 1982 (Melandryidae: Melandryinae) is recorded for the first time from Taiwan with six new species: L. armadillo sp. nov., L. formosa sp. nov., L. insula sp. nov., L. smetanai sp. nov., L. viti sp. nov., and L. yushanensis sp. nov., which are described and illustrated. A key to the Taiwanese species is given. The lack of knowledge concerning the species of Lederina as well as the possible diversity of the genus in eastern Asia is briefly discussed.
