Abstract

We present 2D and 3D inversion results using data from 22 broadband magnetotelluric sites in Saurashtra peninsula, India. The configuration of the Deccan basalt and sub-basaltic Mesozoic sediments is imaged using 2D inversion by implementing the appropriate regularization operator and the model is analogous to the 3D model. The regional fault systems are imaged within the highly resistive granitic crustal segment.
