Abstract

Medical education in the country has a long tradition. The specialist-apprentice model, modified only because 4 apprentices are now assigned to each specialist per semester, is still what is still used and is considered the best option for years of clinical teaching. The educational methodology in the area of ​​general studies and basic sciences has also changed little in the way of applying it. The theoretical classes are given in a large classroom and it is the teacher who dictates. In the case of seminars and laboratories, some improvements have been made, such as problem-based teaching or the “flipped classroom” model where the student is given the leading role.
