The various modifications that have been applied to the technique have been considered and their merits and limitations discussed. Abstract
An attempt has been made to review the literature that has accumulated during the last twelve years on the subject of paper chromatography of higher fatty acids. The various modifications that have been applied to the technique have been considered and their merits and limitations discussed. The important modifications are mainly concerned with the stationary and mobile phases and the use of different reagents for identification and estimation.
