Abstract
There have been a few delightful moments, during my desultory and decidedly non-expert readings in semiotics, when the subject made me laugh out loud instead of terrorizing or, same thing perhaps, boring me stupid. One of them occurred early on when I read "The interaction of semiotic constraints," by A.J.
