Abstract
This article reviews research on the communication abilities of individuals with trisomy 18 and 13 conducted through the Support Organization for trisomy 18, 13, and related disorders (SOFT). Given complex medical and educational needs, interdisciplinary collaboration becomes necessary for the provision of high quality medical care and educational treatment in individuals with trisomy 18, 13, and related disorders.
