Abstract
The spermatozoon of Diplozoon gracile , studied by electron microscopy, does not show any flagellum, but contains numerous longitudinal singlet microtubules. This is the first reported case of an aflagellate spermatozoon in the Monogenea and even in the parasitic Platyhelminthes in general.
