Abstract
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are among the medicines most frequently consumed by older adults and commonly are used to manage chronic disease states, such as rheumatoid and osteo-arthritis. NSAIDs also are readily available in a wide range of over-the-counter (OTC) medications, including products bought for headache, pain, cold, and sinus remedies. This article addresses the risk factors inherent in this therapy.1
