Abstract

In his study on Kwame Nkrumah, D. Rooney points out that he, “almost alone among African leaders, saw the continent’s future in a global perspective.”1 His Pan-Africanist vision foresaw the political and economic liberation of the continent from the yoke of colonialism and neo-colonialism and the establishment of a socialist United States of Africa.
