This chapter looks at the symptoms of a UTI, as well as its demographics, complications, diagnosis (including investigations), and treatment. Abstract
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is defined as present when urine culture results in the growth of a single organism at greater than 105 colony-forming units/ml of urine.
