Abstract

The corrosion inhibition of Gemini surfactant(DBA2- 12) for N80 steel in 1 mol/L HCl was investigated using mass loss methods, electrochemical methods and scanning electron microscopic methods. It was found that DBA2- 12exhibited good corrosion inhibition performance. Mass loss method reveals that the inhibition efficiency increases with the increase in concentration of DBA2- 12, while decreases with the increase in temperature of acid medium.
