Abstract
New reflections to support Wilson's study (P. Wilson, 'Pronomos and Potamon: two Pipers and two Epigrams', Journ. Hell. Stud. 127, 2007, pp. 141-149) on the relation between two epigrams honouring two Theban pipers, the Potamon's epigram, engraved on gravestone with the representation of him and his father (IG II/III² 8883), and the Pronomo's one, handed down by the Planudean Anthology (Anth. Plan. 28), suggesting a more exact time scale of their lives.
