Abstract
Social policy has always been a fundamental pillar of the European Union. Social exclusion and poverty are two problems interrelated whose effects are intended to be reduced by the European 2020 Strategy and its measures. By studying the various factors that influence these issues and the particularities of the territory taken into account, an assessment will be made of the results that have been obtained so far and the accomplished policies that the EU has carried out on its member States.
