Abstract

The description of a mathematical model of reflections of pulse radio signals from the underlying Earth's surface and results of its practical use for estimation of accuracy of amplitude direction finders with horn antennas and antenna arrays of Vivaldi elements are presented. It is shown that the use of the proposed multipoint model of reflections from the ground surface allows an analysis of distortions of received pulse signals and estimation of errors of direction finding of radio emission sources by a monopulse amplitude direction finder on surface traces of radio wave propagation of different lengths.
