Casos para Ensino: Tudo ao Mesmo Tempo e Agora: Mulheres e Seu Tempo

Abstract

This teaching case deals with three narratives of women who sought to approach a day of work, considering the reflections on their roles, conflict between work and life outside of work, time, and the career of academic women engaged in professional activities. This research emphasizes their search for higher qualification and competence in the professional and academic markets while reconciling this with their varied family, personal and work roles. The main themes involve a discussion of the world of work and these women’s roles, the nature of time, the objective and subjective aspects of time, and temporal structure. Thus, it is evident that time can be and is enriched when studied in a subjective perspective from these women’s perspectives and, furthermore, new temporal structures can be enacted by individuals and organizations looking for better balance and quality of life.
