Ein Runenfund aus der ersten Hälfte des 6. Jahrhunderts von Záluží u Čelákovic, Bezirk Prag-Ost

Abstract

In 2008, a silver fitting from grave 39/XXXV at the cemetery in Záluží u Čelákovic was subjected to analysis. In addition to the finding that it was a fitting from a wooden bowl, of which only tiny fragments have survived, a visual inspection of the object revealed that there was a suspicious group of scratches on its surface, the form of which resembled ancient Germanic runes. The aim of the contribution is not only to publish them, but also to draw attention to a so-far unknown group of monuments.
