Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the concept of the educational situation from the perspective of pedagogical design as a methodology and technology of modern education. A situation is educational if (a) its purpose is to increase the cognitive, operational or motivational resources of students, (b) it is specified with respect to the time it began and ended, and also the place in the educational process, (c) it suggests involvement and co-distributed activity of the participants in the educational process. The signs of the educational situation are discussed: openness, probabilistic nature, situatedness. A structural model of the educational situation is proposed and recommendations are given for scenarios of situations for developing education.
