For this purpose, the polyester fabrics were pretreated with sodium hydroxide and chitosan. The hydrophility of the pretreated fabrics were researched and they were then dyed with acid dye at 90 ⁰C. After dyeing processes, the CIEL*a*b* color values, color strength, fastness properties (to washing, water, perspiration, and rubbing) of dyed samples were investigated, and the bursting strength of the undyed and dyed samples was also tested. Abstract
