Multiple vitamin mixtures used as potential adsorption inhibitors were effective in inhibiting adsorption with varying degrees of efficacy.Polysorbate 80, surface active substance and human serum albumin also prevented adsorption.Comparison of effects among multiple vitamin mixtures suggested that the major determinate of inhibition of adsorption was polysorbate 80 concentration. With regard to infusion system, filter type and container size both shown to influence filgrastim adsorption, whereas tube length did not. Using a system which simulates actual conditions in continuous intravenous infusion, we evaluated the adsorption of recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF; filgrastim) in an intravenous administration system and investigated potential adsorption inhibitors.
