The results indicate marginal marine environments influenced by influxes of nonmarine waters, as suggested by the occurrence of Velatomorpha, Gutschickia, Carbonita and Darwinuloidea. Velatomorpha rochacamposi sp. nov. is described, and evidences of predation are reported for the first time in Paleozoic ostracods.
